“The Story of the 79th Armoured Division October 1942-June 1945” published anonymously c 1945, with “Restricted” notice on the title page, the front and back inside covers having coloured diagramatic maps of Northern Europe, containing numerous photographic illustrations and pull out maps, and retaining its original detached fold out coloured wall poster of “Formation Signs 8 May 1945” of British, Commonwealth and Allied Divisions, Brigades, etc. GC, seldom found with its original poster. The vendor states that this book formerly belonged to a member of the Staff of Generall Percy Hobart (originator of “Hobart’s Funnies”) who subsequently joined the 79th Armoured Brigade. £30-40
