A worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE 1773 of 1947. From a standard gauge 0-6-0T ordered by The Ocean & United Collieries Ltd, for use on the Treorchy Colliery Railways system, Glamorgan. Delivered after nationalisation to the National Coal Board as NCB No1. In January 1966 it was transferred to Newlands Colliery and in 1968 made a final move to Wern Tarw Colliery, Pencoed. Scrapped on site by J & P Zammit in June 1971. Engraved brass, 13"x8¼", the front lightly polished. (Postage Band: C)
