CONTINENTAL 8 DAY WALL CLOCK WITH ENAMELLED DIAL SIGNED RAYMOND ST. SORLIN (?) WITH WEIGHTS AND PENDULUM, description provided by Linden House Antiques in 2002 was as follows - 'Fine and now quite rare example of an early French comptoise clock c. 1800 signed by Raymond of Sorlin on the enamel dial. The most unusual hand hammered brass surround depicting two gryphons beside a plume. The 8 day movement with verge escapement with double strike on the harend [?] and single on the hayhar [?]'
