Amethyst riviere necklace, circa 1900, set with 20 oval cut stones, the largest approx. 19mm x 15mm, the smallest approx. length 12mm, each in a claw and collet mount in untested yellow metal, united by an amethyst set clasp with later safety chain, length 40cm, gross weight approx. 56g
One of the stones is round cut, not oval as the rest. The clasp works but needs slight attention as the closure is not as tight as one would wish for. The safety chain is broken. The clasp has had a repair. There is a stone showing some scratches to the side facets, and another has a single scratch, again to the side facet. Overall generally the stones are in good condition with some showing minor flaws. the rubover mounts are generally good.
