Collection of 9 Silver and White Metal Thimbles including example by James Fenton.
Includes:
1. Marked in dome with Finnish silvermark '813H' along with 'Isaha' and some small marks. Punch dome with plain sides, some engraved leaves and inscribed with 'Anne Marie'
2. Unmarked white metal. All-over floral design.
3. Possibly Mexican silver: inset with abalone shell discs and abalone shell band at base
4. Tall with punched dome and decorative band.
5. Hexagonal design band with bright green stone top. Only the vestige of a hallmark.
6. Marked inside dome '925 M'. Gold coloured punched dome with band depicting images of a woman and child. Has 8-pointed star of Gebruder Gabler on dome.
7. No marks. Punched dome with decorated band and rim at base.
8. American Sterling Silver Thimble. Marked 'Sterling' in dome along with a star icon as makers mark. Punched top with plain band and decorated wide rim also inscribed with 'H F or J G'.
9. James Fenton Sterling Silver Thimble. Birmingham 1909. Punched dome with band of embossed scrolls at base and faceted edge
