BOER WAR - LADYSMITH SIEGE GREETINGS CARD + "LOOTED BY THE BOERS" COVER; 1900 New Years Card (cracked fold down the middle and very grubby) printed in Ladysmith during the Siege depicting British servicemen with "[H.M.S.] POWERFUL" gun (stated to be one of only 3 recorded examples of this card); plus ingoing 30 Apr. 1900 env. (understandable tears and wear etc.) with GB 1d Lilac tied by v. fine Bedford cds to "42 Company Army Signal Corps, Field Force, South Africa" with very fine "Recovered from the Mails/looted by the Boers on June 8" (a couple of letters across a tear).
