19th century Chinese Export black lacquered tea caddy, Black lacquer and gilt tea caddy, octagonal with paw feet and hinged lid opening to reveal two pewter compartments with lids, 24.5 x 15cm

There is some cracking at the back right corner of the lid. The top is noticeably faded compared to the rest. There are some losses of lacquer on the corners. The underside of the lid, the lacquer is cracking along the joints. The metal interior tea caddies have noticeably bending and distortion, but still fit inside and can be lifted out easily. One of the middle covers is missing. No key, the top of the lock appears bent.
