A WILLIAM WEST OF HELSTON, CORNWALL, A GEORGE III OAK AND MAHOGANY CROSSBANDED EIGHT DAY LONGCASE CLOCK, the hood with a swan neck pediment and brass finial, fluted pillars flanking a square door that's enclosing a 9.5inch brass and silvered dial, with a bell striking movement, foliate spandrels to each corner, Roman and Arabic numerals, etched detail to centre of dial, signed to base of dial will'm West, Helstone, over a trunk with quarter columns, bracket feet, height 220cm, with two weights, pendulum and winding handle (condition:-silvered part of dial slightly discoloured, movement ideal for servicing, missing part of front right bracket foot)
