£140
Victorian burr walnut kneehole writing table, with tooled leather inset top, over a fretwork kneehole flanked on either side with two short drawers, raised on wrythen turned supports and stretchers, brass castors, width 110cm, width 55cm
The leather top has ring marks, knocks, scrapes, signs of wear and ink stains but appears to be original. There are minor abrasions and scratches to the walnut border at the top. There is a piece of moulding missing on the side of the right hand drawer.
The action of feet have worn away mouldings at the sides of the carved discs at the centre of the stretchers (see image) and there are losses here as a result of this. One of the bosses on the supports is missing.
Overall a nice looking table that would benefit from some remedial work and restoration.
