marked to the underside of the lids, the green grounds decorated with panels of flowers within gilt scrolled borders, with twin loop handles, on stepped plinth bases, 20cm high x 16.5cm wide (2)
Provenance: By repute these tureens formed part of the dessert service made for Princess Mary, daughter of George III, on her marriage to the Duke of Gloucester.
The service was then passed to a James Vickers and then by descent to the present owner.
