Rare early 18th century English verge gold and gilt pair cased verge pocket watch, the gold inside case hallmarked London 1714, the gilt fusee movement signed Ric'd Badiley, London, with flat steel balance, foliate pierced winged balance cock, silver regulating disc and Egyptian pillars, signed gilt champlevé dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute chapter, beetle and poker steel hands, inside case maker 'LM', gilt metal outer case, 56mm; with two watch papers and a gilt crank handle pocket watch key

More Information

Movement - in very fine and clean condition in working order.
Dial - clean condition, the black enamel may well have been re-touched at some stage but does appear nice and clean - see images.
Glass - dome glass in good order.
Hands - nice hand with oxidised wear as expected.
Case - the inner case hallmarked as shown in the images there are some light bruise marks present as shown, the outer pair case is a base gilt metal and not gold, the inner case sits nicely in this case but possibly a marriage subject to personal opinion.
