A rare 18th or early 19th Century black powder Musket cap fire by the renowned gunmaker, the Swiss born Durs Egg (1745 - 1822). Signed D Egg London in gold capital letters over the breech & inlaid with 2 gold lines. Wooden ramrod, finely chequered grip, ornate trigger guard terminating in a vase shaped finial.
