A 19th century Italian micro mosaic and specimen marble topped centre table, the circular top with central panel of the Forum within a black slate and malachite border, banded by geometric scrambled specimen marbles and a further outer ring of forty four assorted specimen marbles, on an English parcel gilt and ebonised underframe with palmette decorated frieze, fluted column and triangular platform with scroll feet, 84cm diameter, 77cm high

Top overall in honest if slightly neglected condition, top in very good order with no faults noted, underframe somewhat tired, now with a dull matted colour and fading to all of the gilt decoration, scuffing and scratching around the underframe.
