Reproduction English Civil War Lobster Tail Cavalry Helmet. Good quality older reproduction in steel. Hinged guard with nasal bar to face. Articulated lobster tail to neck. Hinged bevelled cheek guards with 7 holes, fitted with a black leather chinstrap and buckle. No liner as worn with a stocking cap. No makers markings. The lobster-tailed pot helmet, also known as the zischägge, horseman’s pot and harquebusier’s pot.
Uncleaned with light surface rust patina. Leather hinges and chinstraps are good.
