An Italian Capodimonte porcelain military figure of Prince Eugene de Beauharnais, inscribed "Le Prince Eugene" on side of base, blue underglaze factory mark crowned "N" to back of base, 28cm. high. *Prince Eugene de Beauharnais (1781-1824) was a French nobleman, statesman and military commander who served during the French Revoloutionary Wars and Napoleonic Wars. He was Viceroy of Italy and through the second marriage of his mother, Jesphine de Beauharnais, was stepson to Napoleon Bonaparte.
