The Henry & Tricia Byrom Collection - a mahogany cased table clock, the twin fusee movement circa 1690 with engraved backplate signed 'Peter Garon / LONDON', the pull quarter repeat mechanism removed, converted to anchor escapement, the 8-inch dial also signed in the mock pendulum aperture, with calendar aperture, the mahogany case probably purpose made, 16.25ins. (41.3cms.) high (with handle raised). Provenance - purchased at Sotheby's, 19 October 1994, lot 951.
