A Turkish Pusikan or General's baton of rank, with a polished hardstone head with silver cap, wooden haft with dark blue velvet cover and decorative silver mounts. Silver suspension ring and base of the haft. 52 cm overall. N.B. A date of c.1700 has been suggested for this item.
