A Chinese porcelain doucai phoenix bowl, four character seal mark, probably 19th century, with rounded sides supported on a straight, circular foot with double concentric lines and gilt line above, the exterior enamelled with two phoenix flying over flowering peonies, the interior with a central circular reserve with a figure in a fenced garden, the rim with four precious objects on a diaper band, 2 3/8in. (6cm.) high, 5 3/8in. (13.75cm.) diameter, two tiny rim chips. Two tiny chips to the rim. Also a burst glaze bubble to rim. No other faults.
