A CHINESE PORCELAIN 'ARBOR' PATTERN PLATE, QIANLONG PERIOD

c. 1738, after a design by Cornelis Pronk, enamel painted in the Famille Verte palette, the dish decorated with figures under and around a topiary arch by a river with ducks, framed by a broad border with twelve cartouches painted with insects, fruit and flowers on a turquoise cell diaper ground, the reverse painted with an iron-red and purple border. 26.2cm diameter



There are a few tiny flea bites around the foot rim. No cracks or restoration. In generally good condition.
