Star Lot : A fabulous antique 19th century original Peter Paul Pugin (b.1851 - d.1904) watercolour on paper painting. Features a maritime landscape scene of tall ships, rendered in tones of blues and oranges. Signed bottom left and dated to 1874. Housed in a smart silver toned wooden frame with Framework Gallery sticker to verso. Pugin has a strong auction history with works fetching well into the mid hundreds.

Peter Paul Pugin was an English architect and amateur artist. He was the son of Augustus Pugin by his third wife, Jane Knill, and the half-brother of architect and designer Edward Welby Pugin.
