This car can only be described as a magnificent, Bentley Continental Drophead Coupe, with coachwork by Park Ward.
Initially owned by a high profile businessman of the 50’s and 60’s, namely Mr John Bloom himself, whose business empire included the ‘Rolls Razor’ Company and the Electromatic Washing Machine Company, and later by the very popular and highly successful pianist Russ Conway.
Not only has it been owned by very high profile people, the Bentley has a very intriguing and interesting history, John Bloom bought the Bentley new and sent it back to the factory to have it changed to a Rolls Royce Chinese Eye. He did this because you couldn’t buy a Rolls Royce Chinese Eye at the time. Then after John Bloom and Russ Conway’s ownership the car was purchased by the managing Director of Bristol Motor Cars. He had it converted to left hand drive and took the car to America. The car was purchased by Wren Renovations and brought back to the UK, who changed it back to its original state as a Bentley.
