American Waltham silver lever pocket watch, circa 1879, serial no. 1370804, signed movement with pat. pinion, steel three arm balance and regulator, hinged cuvette, the dial with Roman numerals, minute track and subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, within an engine turned case with engraved cartouche, hallmarks Birmingham 1880, case maker 'A.B' (Waltham Watch Co.), 54mm
Movement - currently functioning.
Dial - faint hairline at the twelve position, surface marks.
Glass - light surface marks.
Hands - mild wear and surface corrosion.
Case - tarnishing, engine turning heavily rubbed, replacement poor fitting bow.
