A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE SCOTS GUARDS. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 9094 Pte J. Cook S.Gds. James Cook from Aberdeen was the son of James and Elizabeth Cook of 12 Castle Street, Aberdeen, he served with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and set off for France on the 9th November 1914 and was also entitled to a 1914 star and clasp. He died of wounds on the 11th February 1915 and is buried at the Royal Irish Rifles Graveyard, Laventie, he was 28 years old. *CR Normal light surface marks and new ribbons. A lot fee of £8 inc.
