A circa late 19th/early 20th century small carved wooden model of the 'Lion of Lucerne' after Thorvaldson, probably a Grand Tour souvenir (7.75cm wide x 3cm deep) (The 'Lion of Lucerne' is a sorrowful monument of a dying lion carved beautifully into the rock wall of an old sandstone quarry in Lucerne, Switzerland.
