° Pilcher, P. S. Military Society of Ireland. Experiments in Flying Machines. Thursday, 21st January 1897. Dublin:
Dollard, Army Printer, Publisher, Stationer, Etc., Printinghouse, Wellington-Quay. 1897. Twenty-four page illustrated lecture in the original printed wrappers, the wrappers soiled with an old central fold line.
*This is the only lecture by Percy Sinclair Pilcher (1867-1899) to be printed. Only two copies are recorded, one in the National Aerospace Library the other in the University of Strathclyde Library. Before his death in 1899, a full four years before the Wright brothers made the first powered flight, he had designed and built what he hoped would be the worlds first ever powered aircraft.
