DATED 1868 STONEWARE DOUBLE BARREL INKWELL. Early handmade desktop inkwell in form of a hollow brick shape - two crudely formed side laying barrels on top. Hand applied rope like ornamentation & rosette like sprigs, picked out with crude cobalt blue oxide. Front impressed ‘M Horn/ 1868. Some restoration to rope like sections. A very rare/ early piece.
