A PAIR OF FRANZ BERGMAN (AUSTRIAN, 1898-1963) FOUNDRY COLD-PAINTED BRONZE PHEASANTS, both birds painted in beautiful bright naturalistic colours. Impressed maker’s symbol to the undersides – capital ‘B’ placed in a twin handled vase, and GESCH with the number 5724 to the male, and 3724 to the female. The impressed marks to the male are more indistinct but present. Over all condition excellent; as can be seen in the images the tail of the male does have an old fracture. Dimensions: Larger: 23cm high x 49cm wide
Smaller: 18.5cm high x 46cm wide
