Ogawa, 1905, 1st edition, 25 black & white plates from photographs by Herbert Ponting (of which 1 folding) as called for, all of Mount Fuji viewed from different locations and seasons, each image captioned in English and Japanese, distributed by Kelly Walsh Ltd. (Yokohama, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Shingapore), oblong 4to (25.5 x 37.5cm), original printed litho pictorial wraps (worn) bound in Japanese style with silk stab ties. Scarce; together with 'Tourist's Guide and Interpreter - Being a Comprehensive Guide to all the Interesting Places to Visit...to which is added General Information for Travellers in Japan [1891]', Yokohama, Kelly & Walsh et al, [1891], folding map of Kobe, 29 colour plates being views of Tokyo, Mount Fuki, Nikko, Osaka, Nara, Lake Biwa etc etc, rear pocket at end empty (presumably lacking folding map or plan), numerous period adverts etc, original limp cloth, ownership signature of Henrietta Tayler (1869-1951), scholar and WWI nurse, at head of front cover. Scarce; together with a Japanese woodblock illustrated book circa late 19th Century, original stab bound wraps (3)
