For the scholars desk, a Chinese cloisonne enamel vase for censer tools, Qing, 18th/19th century, of bottle form, the neck with lotus flowers and tendrils, above a band of stiff leaves and ruyi heads, the body with square panels enclosing a single prunus blossom, on a lotus flower and scrolling tendril pale blue ground, the rims previously gilded14.3cm; together with a Chinese cloisonne enamel and parcel gilt vase, Qing, 19th century, decorated with lotus flowers and meandering tendrils against a pale blue ground, with Taotie mask and ring handles, on a circular foot, 15cm

Condition report: The bottle shaped vase rims have previously been gilded but now erased, the underside is still gilded. There is a chip to the enamel on one ruyi heads which continues into the shoulder, and also on the top left corner on one of the panels of prunus. The larger vase has a large knock to the left of one handle, resulting in some loss of enamel.The gilding on the top rim is erased. Some age related losses where the base joins the vase.
