An early 19th century French Napoleonic period Briquet infantry sword. Having a single edged slightly curved blade and brass hilt. Marked to the back edge of the blade: Mfture Ale du Klingenthal mai 1816. With various makers marks to the ricasso and knuckle guard. Blade length 59.5cms (23.5ins)
