CARL THIEME PORCELAIN COCKATOO. A large porcelain model of a Cockatoo, brightly painted with the bird perched on a tree stump. With foliage and berries in relief around the tree stump, and marked on one side 'Der gelschopfige Kakadu. Mark in underglaze blue to the base, and impressed 1635. 28cms high, approx 30cms long. *CR Small firing crack underneath (around 2cms long) possibly from manufacture, odd spot of minor paint loss but generally seems fine.
