WW2 Japanese Army officer's Shin-Gunto and scabbard, tsuba with lotus blossom to 4 corners, 3 lotus blossom menuki to both sides, rayskin and cloth binding, pommel missing loop, peg is missing but handle is stuck so tang not inspected, leather bound scabbard, post WW2 repair to leather catch and new buttons fitted to scabbard for catch, scabbard slightly crumpled at bottom, blade with small are of minor discolouration.
With 1946 Allied Land Forces British Borneo certificate authorising Major W.J. Hickman Indian Army Ordnance Corps to retain one Japanese Sword signed by Commander 32 Indian Infantry Brigade. Also with Maj Hickman's khaki officer's peaked cap (1942 J. Collett to leather band) with I.A.O.C. cap badge. Offered on behalf of the family, never before on the market.
