A Chinese Mah-jong set, in a carved wood case, circa 1900. With five drawers enclosing bone and bamboo tiles, accesories and a 'How To Play Mah-Jong' booklet, height of case 22.5cm, width 23.5cm, depth 18cm. The front panel is too small for the case. Piece of wood off the front base of case is broken. Lower thin drawer missing. There are 140 tiles and 8 blank tiles. Some tiles discoloured and some scuffs to case.
