Medals (3) of 185272 Pioneer Charles Edward Osborne R.E. British War Medal 1914-1920, Allied Victory Medal 1914-1918, and Police Special Constabulary Long Service Medal GV. Tram driver of Leopold Road, Ipswich. Enlisted on 11th December 1915. Mobilised on 5th August 1916 and joined the Pigeon Service, Royal Engineers. Medically evacuated to England on 22nd March 1917. Posted on 13th November 1917 to Tunnelling Depot, Royal Engineers before returning to the Pigeon Service. Admitted on 6th August 1918 into Millbank Hospital, London, whilst attached to the Scots Guards. Returned to duty on 10th January 1919. Discharged 7th February 1919.
