This is the first ever work created under the name Bezar. The artist behind this piece is
one of the UK’s most awarded art directors, recognised globally for his work. The clever
use of negative space brings out the duality of the image. While the silhouettes of both the
dove and child work individually, it’s only when we see them dovetail together that we
appreciate their skillfully manipulated forms. The overall effect is a powerful, poignant and
beautiful image.
Provenance: Acquired by Dorothy Claxton in 2019. Bezar is a former student of Claxton.
