£280
A late Victorian mahogany partner’s desk, top with inset green tooled leather writing surface, two short and one long drawer to each frieze, each pedestal with three graduated short drawers to one side, and cupboard door to opposite, 81cm high x 138cm wide x 71.5cm deep, c.1880.
I can confirm this lot is definitely a partners desk, there is previous evidence of woodworm but is not live, loose dove tale in one draw, leather surface is damaged and scratches, different cupboard knobs, wood, metal, etc
The drawers to one side are a bit lighter than on the opposite side, this will likely be due to the positioning of the the desk near a window for a prolonged period, bleaching the colour of the polish/timber.
There is some scuffing at the base.
The desk splits into three sections - the two pedestals, and the top.
