CH (Customs House, M.14). 1855 Stampless cover to Bath with "1/-" charge mark, redirected to London handstamped "FIRST-POSTAGE/ NOT-PAID" with the charge increased to 1/1. Carried on the Collins Line "Atlantic", backstamped "AMERICA / LIVERPOOL" c.d.s (P.5, Dec. 26) and circular framed "(crown) / C.H", used on undeclared ship letters found by customs officers during searches. Small part flap missing and two pressed vertical folds, otherwise fine and very rare, one of just three examples apparently recorded. Photo on Page 58.
