A 1940 Third Reich Mauser bayonet by BERG & Co. in its steel scabbard with leather frog. Having matching serial numbers 5974 on the ricasso and scabbard with 40 (for 1940) on the back edge of the blade near the ricasso. A good clean example with the blade retaining almost all of its original blacking is 25cms long.
