Obverse: English shield within a wreath of laurel and palm branches, sun mintmark, and 'THE COMMONWEALTH OF ENGLAND' around, no stops, radically double struck. Reverse: conjoined English and Irish shields of arms with '· XII ·' above, the date (1652) at the top and with 'GOD · WITTH · VS' [sic] around with double 'T' in 'WITH'. Weight: 5.70g. Diameter: 32mm. Grade: nF - near Fine, round flan, clearly double struck.
