Weighing Machine Cards - a piece of highly detailed, mixed media, original artwork for the cigarette card series of Weighing Machine Cards by Mardon, Son and Hall Ltd, 'Association Footballers', believed to be unproduced, depicting a portrait of Ivor Powell (1949). Includes multiple pieces of paperwork containing the details and signed approval from Ivor Powell for the use of his photograph for the artwork, dated 1949. Mounted on card, measuring approximately 15 x 21 cm. Artist unknown.

Ivor Powell (5 July 1916 - 6 November 2012) was a Welsh football player and manager, who won eight caps for Wales. He played as a wing half and began his professional career with Queen's Park Rangers and then his career was interrupted by World War II, after which in 1948 he moved to Aston Villa and played 79 games in the First Division. He was inducted to the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 alongside snooker player Terry Griffiths and cricketer Tony Lewis.
