A rare and interesting piece of zoomorphic taxidermy, fashioned as a chamberstick - a candle stick holder with handle. With silver hallmarks for George Ernest Hawkins, Birmingham, 1900. With Engraved inscription “Sportsman - 1900”. This being a particularly fine example as the horse shoe is also in hallmarked solid silver.
