Vincenti et Cie, a French Boulle mantel clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with the backplate stamped with the name of the movement maker Vincenti et Cie, Paris, along with the initials G.V. for the supplier of the clock, the gilt-brass dial having an embossed centre with porcelain plaques having blue Roman hour numerals, and with decorative blued-steel hands, the waisted red tortoiseshell brass inlaid case with glazed front, ormolu mounts and surmounted by a floral finial, height 30cm.
