THE BEATLES: A TONY BARROW INTERNATIONAL BLACK AND WHITE PRESS PHOTOGRAPH OF THE BEATLES signed to the reverse by by all four Beatles and additionally annotated ‘Congratulations on winning the competition’.
22 x 16.5 cms

NOTE: Tony Barrow was press officer who worked with the Beatles between 1962-1968. It was Barrow who invented the phrase ‘The Fab Four’. Barrow worked doing early press for Epstein and eventually joined his new management company – NEMS Enterprises - in 1963, where he also worked with other major bands on Epstein’s rosta. He was responsible for their press, meetings and photoshoots on their international tours and set up his own company in 1968 when the Beatles formed Apple Corps. This group of signatures must date from that late transition in 1968.
