A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO AND PLAQUE TO THE GLOUCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT. A Great War trio comprising 1914-15 Star named 200250 Pte A.E. Brain Glouc: R. War Medal and Victory Medal named to 1879 A.E. Brain Glouc R. The plaque to Albert Edward Brain. Pte Brain served with C Company of the 8th and 1/4th Battalions, he was the son of Edward and Thurza Brain of 47 Dove St Kingsdown, Bristol. He was initially reported as wounded, then wounded and missing in August 1918 and confusingly as killed in action on the 18th March 1918, he is commemorated on the Arras memorial, he was 23 years old. *CR Marks to surfaces. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
