Oval example: Heavy denting and splitting to the silver mount, but no signs of repair. Visible glass in good order, light scratching and wear but no splits cracks or losses. The wooden reverse shows heavy scratching and wear, but no major splits or damage. Easel is slightly misshapen, but is in working order. See pictures for illustration.

Largest example (Carr's): Mount shows denting/thinning and lifting to the top right corner. There are further areas of slight lifting to the edge of the frame and the interior around the aperture. No cracks, chips or losses to the visible glass, moderate scratching and wear only. Moderate wear to the felt, easel stand in working order. See pictures for illustration.

Medium Carr's example: Heavy scratching and wear to silver mount, but no splitting, major thinning or repair. Visible glass in good order, no cracks chips or losses. Heavy wear to reverse. See pictures for illustration.

Smallest Carr's example: Heavy scratching and wear throughout. No splitting, major lifting or signs of repair. Visible glass in good order, no cracks chips or losses. Moderate wear to the felt reverse, easel in working order. See pictures for illustration.

Levi example: Heavy denting throughout the silver mount. Moderate lifting to the edges and the interior. Moderate scratching and wear to silver mount. Visible glass in good order, no cracks chips or losses. Easel stand is broken, not in working order. Moderate wear to the leather reverse.
