1915 Star Trio + Death Plaque, Scroll in contemporary frame. 125191 Pnr Samuel Townsend RE. Died 7th Jan 1916 11th Labour Btn RE. Born Husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire. Buried Etaples. Very unusually Samuel is mentioned in the official War Diary as having died in hospital as a result of Gas Poisoning from a Gas attack at 5.30am on the 19th Dec 1915. (Framed a glazed).
