£100 - £200
Edwardian mahogany inlaid triple wardrobe compactum. Raised on plinth base with triple section comprising stencil decorated linen cupboard over chest of drawers flanked by by upright sentry box wardrobes with mirror doors.
Once owned by Sir George White of Bristol Tramways and Bristol aircraft factory. The vendors family acquired the items in 1960 when we moved into a Victorian house in Fishponds, Bristol. The previous owner told us that they once belonged to Sir George White they we were not sure about until about twenty years ago when we visited Sir George White’s house on Cotham Hill on a Doors Open day. All the doors and door frames in the house were inlaid mahogany and exactly the same style as the wardrobe and dressing table
