A 19th Century bronze cup and cover by Pierre Jules Mene (1810-1877), modelled as a segmented tusk, the cover surmounted with a heron above dead fish and game in relief, the body with fox and stag hunting to each side in a woodland scene, the pedestal worked with a lizard attacking a bird's nest and bird chasing a beetle, on leaf cast oval base, signed and dated twice 1849, height 40cm.
