Glasgow & New York Steamship Co. 1857 (Apr 25) Entire letter carried by the Screw Steamer "Glasgow", with green Glasgow c.d.s (May 1) and matching boxed "GLASGOW / SHIP LETTER" (S.4), charged 1/4. The "Glasgow" was launched in 1851 and sold to the Inman Line in 1858. A scarce ship letter. Photo on Page 80.
