1833 Pre-Stamp. Wrapper sent from London to Edinburgh rated at 1/1d struck by an inspectors crown at top right and amended in manuscript 2/2d plus ½d tax at lower left. Showing a magnificent strike of a London dispatch datestamp on reverse for AP.4.1833 with reversed ‘S’ code (Jay. L22c) which is only known recorded on this date and is very rare possibly unique, with an Edinburgh arrival for AP.6.1833 alongside. Filing fold and smudged ink marks but A spectacular cover.
